'CUT PRICE TREATMENTS'
Please be aware that if clinics are offering 'cut price' treatments there is usually a catch! It has come to my notice that some practitioners are opening a pre filled syringe of filler and using half on a client then the syringe is recapped and the remaining contents used later on another client. This practise is dangerous as once the cap is removed from the syringe the product is then unsterile - meaning certain clients are having an unsterile product injected into them and this of course can result in infection and possibly the end result - scarring.
ALWAYS CHECK THAT WHEN THAT SYRINGE IS PREPARED FOR YOU IT IS REMOVED FROM SEALED PACKAGING.

"There are many associations 'springing up' who claim to be overseeing the cosmetic surgery industry for 'the safety of the general public' who also say that 'only go to a cosmetic surgeon/injector who is a member of their organisation' I have looked at these 'associations' and find that most of them are only interested in clinics paying them registration fees and not looking into ethical motives behind the clinics. It is easy to get a lock on your fridge, have a criminal records check, keep accurate records etc etc but in my 21 years experience I have come across many practitioners who are only motivated by money. Some of them give bad treatments when they are not really necessary and offer the wrong advice. These practitioners, doctors, nurses, dentists attend a one day course, get a certificate then a couple of months later call themselves 'advanced practitoners'!
IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO GO TO SOMEONE FROM PERSONAL RECOMENDATION RATHER THAN A LIST OF PEOPLE WHO ARE IN SOME ASSOCIATION OR OTHER "

Yesterday, this morning and again this evening there have been interviews on BBC and Sky T.V. with certain people who say that one should only go to a practitioner who is a member of their organisation otherwise you may get a bad treatment. This is very unfair for the smaller practitioner who would have to pay £1000 registration fee (the same fee as a large private hospital). Of course ALWAYS check that the practitioner you go to is a nurse or a doctor, but being a member of an organisation usually means nothing!
