Medical Micro Needling Treatment

Microneedling Before Treatment and Microneedling After Treatment

MEDICAL MICRONEEDLING (COLLAGEN INDUCTION THERAPY)

Microneedling is an old concept also known as 'Collagen Induction Therapy' (CIT). It's based on the skin's natural ability to repair itself whenever it encounters physical damage such as cuts, burns and other abrasions. Immediately after an injury occurs to the skin our body renews the damaged collagen and elastin fibres as well as other damaged skin components to produce new ones. Skin Needling allows for controlled induction of the skin's self repair mechanism by creating micro-'injuries' in the skin which triggers new collagen synthesis, yet does not pose the risk of scarring. The result is a smoother, firmer and younger looking skin.

The following skin conditions can be treated:

UNWANTED EPIDERMAL PIGMENTATIONS

ROSACEA

SUN DAMAGE

ACNE SCARRING

ENLARGED PORES

FINE RYTIDES (WRINKLES)

HYPERPIGMENTATION

SCARS

SMOKERS SKIN

Brunel Medical can use the 'Medical Grade' depth therefore stimulating the dermal layer which is the deeper layers of skin in order for the results to be more effective. A topical local anaesthetic is required and applied 45 minutes before the treatment commences.

THIS TREATMENT IS A MEDICAL PROCEDURE AND SHOULD ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY A MEDICAL PRACTITIONER.

How is the treatment administered?

Christine will use a topical local anaesthetic and apply 40 minutes before treatment. The micro needling pen glides over the skin producing even pin hole damage from a depth of 1mm up to 2.5mm.

How will I look immediately afterwards?

Depending on the depth of the needles inserted depends on how you will look afterwards. Obviously the deeper the insertion the more effective the treatment results will be and the healing time can take longer.

How quickly will I see results?

Visible signs of skin rejuvenation are seen after about 4 weeks. It is advisable to have a course of 4 treatments with one month in between.

How should I care for my skin afterwards?

Brunel Medical can recommend AHA products which will keep your skin resurfaced. A hydrating product such as hyaluronic acid is also beneficial. A sun protector is a MUST if you want to keep your skin looking fresh and younger looking.

How much does it cost?

Price for one session of Medical microneedling is £180 per session. Block booking of 4 sessions is £550 saving £170!

Dont forget consultations are free and Christine will be happy to discuss your requirements in depth under no obligation.
